Contest Invitation For the launch of Thailand Virtual Exhibition GSSD Expo 2022 Applications now open until 12 March 2022

The Global South-South Development (GSSD) Expo 2022 will be co-hosted by the Government of Thailand, the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) under the theme “Advancing South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Sustainable COVID-19 Recovery: Towards a Smart and Resilient Future”. The GSSD Expo 2022 is scheduled to take place from 12 to 14 September 2022 at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) in Bangkok, to showcase evidence-based successful development solutions and initiatives, in collaboration with United Nations agencies and all partners.

This will be the 11th GSSD Expo, the first one to be hosted in the Asia-Pacific region and the first to be convened in hybrid formats, both in person and virtually, leveraging the latest digital technology. The GSSD Expo 2022 features online activities, which began in November 2021 and will lead up to the main event in September 2022.

As part of the GSSD Expo 2022, Thailand, through Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will launch Thailand Virtual Exhibition in March 2022 to showcase Thailand’s best practices and development approach. Leading up to the launch, TICA invites you to participate in 3 types of contest, namely slogan, photo and video clip contests.

VIDEO CLIP Contest

Contestants can choose one of the following topics:

  • Triangular Cooperation
  • COVID-19 and Public Health
  • Friends from Thailand (FFT)
  • Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP)
  • Human Resources Development (HRD)

“Advancing South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Sustainable COVID-19 Recovery: Towards a Smart and Resilient Future”.

1. Eligibility Criteria

Contestants must be Thai nationals and 13 years of age or above (secondary, vocational, university students, and general public).

2. Contest Guidelines

2.1
The submitted video clip must be original, non-plagiarized and created by contestants. It must not have received any previous awards. Permission from individuals/entities (if any) appearing in the video clip must be secured.
2.2
The content must not infringe upon good morals, third party rights and any copyright.
2.3
The video clip must be between 2 to 5 minutes in length, including Intro, Title and End credit.
2.4
Video clip entries that do not follow the terms and conditions will be disqualified.
2.5
Each contestant can submit only ONE video clip entry and must provide personal information and own contact details i.e., name and surname, age, current address, phone number and e-mail address.
2.6
All Video clip entries will become the joint property of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) of Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and contestants. TICA, together with its partners, reserves the right to use and disseminate the video clips without prior permission from contestants.
